Our first visit to the Coppleridge for a meal and we were certainly were not disappointed. Large choice of menu and the food and service was excellent. Also serves a good pint of Ale. All at a very reasonable price. We Will certainly return.
A very warm welcome awaited us , we were travelling through in our campervan after a visit to Stourhead… we ended up staying in the carpark and eating and enjoying a pint , service was faultless food was excellent and a full specials menu, would highly recommend and we will be back again for sure .

New owners are really turning this place around. Previously it lacked a soul. Now it's a happy locals pub. Had a Sunday roast there and it was exceptional! The landlady had a nice chat with us and was very welcoming. Finally Motcombe has the pub it needs.
We visited Coppleridge today for lunch as a group of 10 and had prebooked. The food was superb, with a fabulous menu selection that made it hard to decide what to choose. Rupert and Mike worked extremely hard to make us feel welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into making our family occasion so special. We will be back and look forward to watching the pub have life breathed backed into again! Well done on your achievements so far.
The Coppleridge Inn was a truly lovely stay. We arrived at the train station in Gillingham, and the taxi ride to the inn took only about 10 minutes, making the journey very easy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff and escorted to our cottage. The cottage itself was charming and cozy, with a comfortable double bed that kept us wonderfully warm, a vanity, and thoughtful refreshments waiting for us. That evening, we dined at the pub and were blown away by the food. We had the roast duck with gnocchi and a meat pie, and it was genuinely the best meal we had on our entire trip. Each morning, breakfast was prepared for us and enjoyed with a beautiful view of the rolling Dorset hills, which was such a peaceful way to start the day. We also visited Stourhead during our stay, and the staff were incredibly helpful in arranging a taxi for us. The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the hospitality throughout our stay made us feel completely at home. We loved everything about our experience and will absolutely be planning another trip just to stay at the Coppleridge Inn again.
The Sunday roast is delicious! Plenty of meat, veg, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes and you get cauliflower cheese and extra gravy included! The service was first class too. I would highly recommend.
As local residents we are so pleased Coppleridge has new owners and is back to our 5* village venue. We had a wonderful Christmas lunch in December for our business - the food and service were excellent, and thank you to Lincoln our lovely Waiter. It is nice to see lots of locals returning with Sophie, Rupert and their team welcoming everyone to Coppleridge.
